On this Giving Tuesday we hope this message finds you healthy and safe! Over the past few months our communities have faced challenges that we could not have anticipated. Our thoughts and hearts remain with everyone who has fallen ill, or sadly, succumbed to their battle with COVID-19. We continue to be thankful for all frontline workers facing unprecedented times in their efforts to provide us with their expertise in the work that they do. We know that by continuing to supp...ort them in private and public ways, we will all arrive at healthier, more prosperous days in the weeks and months ahead. Open Ears Festival of Music and Sound, like so many other arts organizations, has felt the impact of the pandemic with the forced cancellation of our 2020 Festival. We are actively working on 2021 programming, and are in continuous discussions with festival artists, and our partners and collaborators to anticipate a post-pandemic program that will be a hybrid of both live performance and virtual, online offerings. If you are able, please consider making a donation to Open Ears. All funds raised will continue to help Open Ears celebrate the art of listening by providing audiences the opportunity to experience, touch, and explore the very best of music and sound. Whether in a traditional concert venue, an outdoor park, a civic square or an alternative space, Open Ears is dedicated to the presentation of an eclectic and innovative range of musical programming. Your financial support in any amount will help Open Ears through the challenging time that we are presently experiencing. While Open Ears is a not-for-profit corporation, the organization continues its work to achieve registered charitable status through the Canada Revenue Agency. Until such time as this formal process is approved, charitable donations do not qualify for tax receipts.
