Although we had such a sad time with the passing of Mouse, Brittany & Bear are doing really well and growing so much. It is with an unbelievably heavy heart that we are posting that we lost Mouse tonight. Mouse has been a medical challenge from day one and we thought we might have lost him a couple times along the way but he was 5 weeks old today and we thought he was going to be ok. Then today he started to have difficulty breathing and wasn't eating so we took him into the emergency clinic. They did an x-ray and learned that his heart was two times the normal size plus had some fluid ...build-up around the lungs. The severely enlarged heart was pressing on his lungs and esophagus which was causing him to not be able to breathe well or swallow. We are just gutted and broken-hearted. He tried so hard to make it but it just wasn't meant to be with a severe congenital defect like this. Good-bye baby boy. You were deeply loved and we will miss you dearly!
