It is also the first Friday following his first Billboard number one ranking, right now in 2020! We will celebrate with the Greenwich Village Edition of the Online LMC Open Mic! Got any Dylan songs? On April 3, sixty years ago, at Nashville's RCA Studio, Elvis Presley recorded three classic songs that seem strangely relevant to today: "Are You Lonesome Tonight," "Fever", and "It's Now or Never." Join us this April 3 for the Nashville Edition of the London Music Club's Online Open Mic! We meet by Zoom. We'll start joining, getting set up, and saying Hello around 7:30. Music starts at 8 and goes until 10:30 or 11:00, depending on how it goes! Bring your songs from, about, or on their way to Music City, USA! Or any other songs you like :) . Thank you to everyone who came out (i.e. stayed in!) for our Online Open Mic last night! It was GREAT to see you all and hear your songs. We'll definitely do that again next week. We did learn that having a USB webcam with its own microphone helped quite a bit with sound quality. They are sold out most places, but it might be something to consider when things have been restocked. We will be experimenting with some other online music possibilities - watch this space! And watch for the link for next week's open mic :)

If you have never used Zoom, and you are on a computer, when you click on the link it will ask you to allow the necessary software to install. It is quick and easy. Hello Friends, You will not be surprised to learn that the Open Mic will not be taking place at the London Music Club for the next while, to avoid any risk of spreading the coronavirus. Here is a question for you, though. ... Would you be interested in trying out a virtual open mic, online? To participate, you'd need a computer, tablet, or phone, and a place you can set up your device to capture your performance. There will be a little learning curve for all of us, but nothing we can't handle We'll need ways of maintaining connection over the next weeks despite being more isolated physically. Want to give this a try? Let us know in a comment if you are interested, and if at least a few people are on board we'll work on getting it set up!
