Last year at this time we were deep into rehearsals for this beautiful production of La Bohème. It is so strange how one year can change things that were just a normal part of life. During this pandemic time, the artists of The Vetere Studio International, Operavision Academy, and Opera Niagara have been very working hard, training, and meeting on Zoom, Facetime, and Skype for hours at a time, spanning over 4 continents and multiple time-zones. Along with the General Direct...or of Opera Niagara, Dr. Maria Vetere, and Artistic Director, Aprile Millo (also Co-Founders of Operavision Academy), they are working hard to bring you some fantastic live online entertainment you can enjoy, "safely" from the comfort of your own homes. Our purpose as artists is to heal, comfort, and inspire others with music and art, and we know our purpose. We want to help feed your souls and fill your hearts during a very dark period in our history, to rejuvenate your minds and spirit through music especially when you really need it. Opera Niagara is deeply saddened to hear of the tragic passing of Canadian soprano Erin Wall. Our prayers remain with Roberto, their two children, and entire extended family. We extend our most heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved her. A beautiful soul with a beautiful voice gone too soon. Riposa in pace.
