- I get a lot of questions asking how Permanent Makeup ages. So I wanted to post these beauties I just touched up which are about a year old. As you can see, they simply fade into a lighter version of themselves. I use the highest quality pigments that don't fade into strange colours. I use proper depth so the brows stay soft and powdery. My technique is doing mostly shading throughout the brow with som...e Microbladed hair-strokes at the front (if you're a candidate). Working this way allows the strokes fade first, and the shading slowly fades as well. because when you touch-up Microbladed hair-strokes that are still visible, you're drawing a line over another line, making them thicker and thicker each time you do it. Letting them completely fade allows them to look crisp instead of thick and blurry. I loved doing this shoot, and chose this lovely women especially because she has vitiligo. My sister has the same vitiligo, in the same spots, and I know it's rollercoaster coming to terms with.
