Members of the OPP Street Crime seized suspected meth, cocaine, morphine, ammo and replica firearm at 2 locations in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake. Warrants were executed at 2 locations on Wednesday. 4 people were arrested and charged.

A taxi and tow truck! Clocked at 169km/h on Hwy 401 near Mallorytown over the weekend by Leeds OPP. The 21 yr old had his high end sports car impounded and DL suspended for Stunt Driving, plus a date in court. It would have been a long cab ride home to Richmond Hill or to his destination in Montreal.

The Ottawa OPPs Automated Licence Plate Reader has helped get another uninsured vehicle off the road. The car was stopped on Hwy 417 near Maitland Ave in the City of Ottawa. The 28 year old male driver also had no licence. The driver and owner both face charges.

The OPP Street Crime Unit and Belleville Police Service have shutdown a major meth trafficking operation in the area, from the City Of Quinte West to the City of Kingston. 4 people face a long list of drug/weapon charges. Nearly 5kgs of crystal meth, a large quantity of cocaine and handguns were seized.

Advisory: High powered boating event on the St. Lawrence River this Saturday (Gananoque, Ontario, Ivy Lea, Wolfe island, Brockville, Ontario). Not a race but some boats can hit in excess of 100 km/h. Some portions of the route are narrow, busy channels. Potential hazard to small craft.
