En tant que partenaire, OPTICA suit le développement du groupe d'artistes fransaskois sous le mentorat de Serge Murphy. Depuis le 4 novembre, le Conseil culturel fransaskois présente l’aboutissement du travail entrepris depuis plus d’un an par les quatre artistes participant(e)s à la deuxième édition du programme Mentorat et visibilité ! Depuis le printemps 2019, ce groupe d’artistes a été appelé à définir, adapter et repousser ses limites artistiques à travers des séances de mentorat régulières. Entre le 29 octobre au 28 novembre OPTICA propose Art pour emporter, un kit créatif gratuit à réaliser directement de la maison. Le kit créatif permet au jeune public d’en apprendre davantage sur la pratique artistique de Sandra Brewster, une artiste torontoise dont les œuvres seront exposées à OPTICA cet automne. En s’inspirant de la série photographique Blur, le kit permet de se familiariser avec la technique de transfert au gel qu’utilise l’artiste dans plusieurs de ses œu...vres. Au menu : le matériel nécessaire à la réalisation de son propre transfert au gel, un tutoriel virtuel pour accompagner les participants à travers les différentes étapes de réalisation du transfert, des informations pratiques et des petites activités ludiques. The Creative Kit allows young audiences to learn more about the artistic practice of Sandra Brewster, an artist from Toronto whose works will be exhibited at OPTICA this fall. Inspired by the Blur photographic series, the kit provides an introduction to the based gel transfer technique the artist uses in many of her works. On the menu: the equipment necessary for carrying out their own gel transfer, a virtual tutorial to guide participants through the various stages of carrying out the transfer, practical information and small fun activities.
