Not everyone knows that I do custom sewing from scratch when my schedule is not too busy. I call these two "All business and Pleasure"
My rack is getting full of pretty grad dresses! I still have time for more so if you haven't booked your alteration appointment yet, please do so soon.
Grads often have trouble finding accessories for their escort that perfectly match their dress. I sometimes can make bow tie and pocket square out of the fabric cut off the hem.
Another beautiful bustle!
Working on another hand beaded veil for my sample rack.
I'm obsessed with hand beading! I call her " snow princess"
I'm thankful that I have a creative outlet that helps me keep my sanity.I'm thankful that I have a creative outlet that helps me keep my sanity.
Another modification. This bride wanted the bodice alittle more modest so I added lace that was left over from hemming.
Thank you everyone who had bought my masks. Here is my current selection. I do small, med and large. 2 layers of quality cotton and a layer of interfacing. I leave the ends long so they can be tied to fit each person. $10 each and the profits I will be donating to local food bank. I have raised $600 so far. Would like to get to at least $1000. If you don't see a print you like, I do have others that I'm working on and I do take special orders. You can even bring me you own fabric pick for $7 EA.
Here's another off the rack remodel. This bride needed her dress to be very modest. Raised the neck, the back and added sleeves. Turned out great and she loved it!
It can be difficult to find your perfect dress especially when you have a short time frame and have to buy off the rack. This lovely bride wanted more coverage so I removed the train lining to create sleeves and a more covered back.
If you have to wear a mask, at least it can be a cute one.
Well I didn't think I'd be making more masks but with more and more places plus schools requiring them, I've have gone into production again. I'll be charging $10 each with profits being donated to the food bank.
Although there are a few different ways to do a bustle, this is the usual way I do a ball gown. This one has 5 points on the top layers and 3 underneath.
I created this lace overlay to jazz up this simple satin bodice.
Added bling to this classic black grad dress.
Lastest dress bustle. Loops and buttons. This is the popular style of dress right now and most bustles are done like this.
I added flutter sleeves to this sleeveless dress. It was full length but the client wanted knee length so I had lots of matching fabric to work with. She was very pleased.
It may take a bit of time looking around and some research but if you have a tight budget there are some great deals to be had. Just remember that alteration costs are the same no matter what you spent on the dress.
Love the ripples of lace on this 2 tier made-to-order veil.
So frustrating! Mask all sewn ready for elastic and it didn't arrive by promised date. Really fearing that somewhere along the way, it was stolen. It's a scares commodity these days.
