Grantham Optimist cancels the 2020 Softball season due to COVID-19. The Grantham Optimist Club has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 softball season due to the ongoing public health crisis The safety of our participants has always been our top priority and with the current coronavirus situation, our Club has decided to cancel play for this year. We understand and share the disappointment with our players, coaches and families, but regrettably, with the significa...nt public health uncertainty that will exist for several months we could not, in good faith, proceed with the season. We greatly appreciate our youth sports families and look forward to seeing you again soon. Refund Information Participants will receive a full refund, reflected on the original payment method in the next two weeks. The Optimist will be mailing checks to those who paid by cash or check.
