36 years old and I've been doing this movement shit for a long time. The summer with a pandemic running rampant, had me staying close to home. Sharing in as man...y adventures with good friends as I could piece together. There has been a lot of division this past while, and I'm been discovering my personal purview and moral edict have been shifting frequently as I age. This year alone I found myself engaged in frustrating discussions with people I care about more than any year before. How do you resolve conflicts that seem intractable? How do you come to the table with your truth without invalidating the other sides truth even as there seems to be no way to understand it? Its easy to pour poison into a vessel and its a quick way to make you regret how you passed along what you said and did. Being careful with your words while listening intently is difficult... especially when you feel unheard. As someone once told me, "there are very few things in the universe that don't cause a reaction. Push something or someone and there will be a reaction either towards you or in another direction". It has reminded me that despite differences, I cherish the worlds, friendships and lives I have built with people all over. Because whether we realize it or not, our actions are an influence to many. When you change your perception you change your thoughts, and your thoughts convert to action which manifest your subjective reality. So I am sure to remind myself that despite the unpredictable challenges existing alongside my fellow humans, life is quite beautiful and I will continue to observe things in that way.

A compilation of some #parkour point-of-view videos I created during this spring and summer training. The #POV method I used to record videos (which was literal...ly no more sophisticated than jamming a #gopro in my mouth) has proven insufficient at capturing what I want captured. Often time it would fail at capturing foot placements or landings which are in terms of POV vids the highlights for me. Thankfully I've been made aware of a fairly dope POV mount (Pro Standard Grill Mount 2.0) which I plan on using moving forward. Phase 2 should include more actionable stuff I've been meaning to work on for media and film (Hardcore Henry style). Just been waiting for a better mount option to be made available. These aren't very impressive POV videos as compared to other stuff out there but for me personally its like a gateway right back to the time I did this sequence. So more personally nostalgic than entertaining!

Parkour is for all ages of all walks of life. Think you're too old? Whether you believe that to be true or not, you're right. The attitude is both your greatest motivator and limitation!
