What a success! Our annual Christmas fundraiser in support of Groves Hospital & Foundation has concluded. We raised $910 through Facebook, $135 in cash donations, and we have added an additional $500 for a grand total of $1545. We have entered all donators and sharers in to our draw for two Fraberts Fresh Food Christmas Dinners for 6. We have drawn and contacted our lucky winners Kim S and Patricia S. Your support goes a long way in making our community an incredible place t...o live. Your commitment to chip in, even in trying and uncertain times raises our Christmas spirit. Health Services and the Upcoming Provincial Lockdown: All of our services will remain OPEN during the upcoming provincial lockdown, as we are regulated under the Regulated Health Practitioners Act. We are working tirelessly to ensure a safe working environment, with stringent sanitization procedures. We will continue to offer virtual appointments when necessary/appropriate (phone and video). GRADUAL REOPENING We are very pleased to be gradually reopening in clinic services. In order to provide everyone entering the clinic a safe and enjoyable experience, we have changed operations to suit the Ministry of Health Guidelines: 1. Pre-Screen: you will be sent a questionnaire screening for symptoms 24 hour before your appointment.... 2. Arrival: please wait in your vehicle until someone comes to get you. Our waiting room is temporarily closed, and we cannot allow entry until the previous person has left and we have sanitized the office. 3. Entry: Masks are REQUIRED. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for $2. If possible please enter the clinic wearing your mask. Upon entry, remove your shoes and sanitize your hands. If not done so already, don your mask and then re-sanitize your hands. Avoid touching your face or adjusting your mask from this point forward. 4. Active Screening: you will be asked a series of questions and have your temperature taken. We thank you for your understanding during these strange and uncertain times. While our operations may be different, you will still receive the same great care you are accustomed to.

To say we are blown away by the community response for this fundraiser would be an understatement. Sadly, struggle in our world is hugely disproportionate, and we are seeing this play out in real time. We are extremely fortunate to live in a place where our citizens recognize those who are struggling more than themselves and choose to exten...d a helping hand. Make no mistake, the local small businesses who have sponsored this fundraiser are also struggling right now. However, they realize that a healthy community is the foundation to successful small business. A healthy and thriving community is one that keeps commerce within itself, rather than sending funds outside to huge multi-national companies. Places who have been taken over by these corporate giants are sprawling urban jungles lacking any identity. Centre Wellington is better than this. Hence, raising community funds for vulnerable people is equally a humanitarian effort as it is one to ensure we remain the same great place that we have become. Small business defines who we are as a community. We are the names on the backs of your child’s sports teams. We are the raffle prizes for community initiatives. We are the first to stand up for inequality during difficult times. The ‘big guys’ are not. Please, look at the list of businesses who are standing up for you and our community. They have chosen the path of community support during uncertain times. By shopping local, you are keeping the beating heart of Centre Wellington strong. Great news! The Ontario Ministry of Health has released guidelines for the gradual re-opening of health care services in our province! Your health and safety is our number one priority, and we are making a number of changes to ensure our facility is going above and beyond every rule set out by the province. Once we have a re-opening plan, we will post it here.
