Some nice video footage from Nick Harding featuring Festival favorites Jimmy and Steve outdoors at the Busholme last summer.
Artist Highlight: "The first year of the festival, I booked Michael to play on a stage which was in the Gazebo in Alexandra Park. I arranged to get interviewed ...on Rogers TV down in Mississauga a few weeks before the festival. Michael was gracious enough to come in and do the segment with me and performed on the show. It was pretty cool for him to do that for an unproven first time festival. He has been back to perform at our festival a couple of time over the years and I’m exited to have him perform with me and my band in Harp Attack this year!" - Larry Kurtz, Founder of the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival #michaelpickett #orangevillebluesandjazz2017 See more

Garrett Mason was one of the highlights of the 2019 Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival. We are thrilled to see him receive the 2021Maple Blues Award for Guitarist of the Year!
To save the concerts we love and dearly miss, I am using the tag #ForTheLoveOfLIVE to continue to support the venues and workers who bring them to life. To learn more visit canadianlivemusic.ca Canadian Live Music Association
We LOVE performing live for you guys but due to the pandemic, our last live show in front of a full live audience was on November 29, 2019 at the National Arts ...Centre / Centre national des Arts in Ottawa. Canadian musicians across the country have similar stories and most rely on touring to make a living. You can support your favourite artists by dropping by their official merch stores on-line to purchase something and today we're asking you to share your stories on your social media about your favourite live concert by Canadian artists and why live music is so important to you and adding the hastag #ForTheLoveOfLIVE to your posts. Thanks for your support and we look forward to the day we hit the stage again and see you all in person! #Downchild #ForTheLoveOfLIVE #Canadianlivemusicassociation

"Millions worry that their favourite live music venues will shut down permanently... these venues improve their quality of life and contribute to the economic and social well-being of their communities" - Abacus Data Inc. Graphics: Music Canada #ForTheLoveOfLIVE #PourLAmourDeLaSCENE
#ForTheLoveOfLIVE is a national awareness campaign by the Canadian Live Music Association to bring attention to the significant challenges and recovery facing our country's live music industry as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please join the movement by sharing your favourite live music memories from our festival and use the hashtags #OBJForTheLoveOfLIVE and #ForTheLoveOfLIVE. We are so appreciative of all our loyal fans and patrons throughout the years and are grateful... for all the amazing moments we were able to have together for the last 17 years. This campaign reminds us that our friends, neighbours, and colleagues are the artists, festival organizers, volunteers, funders, and audience members who are a part of the community that connects Canadians to the live music we love and miss. We are looking towards brighter days where our family and friends can gather once again and connect with each other at the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival and experience the amazing music our country has to offer.
