This very subject has been postulated countless times. In the 60's or 70's some high schools offered classes on what to do with all that free time (so we've been told by those old enough to actually attend said classes). With the exception of robotics automating factories and employees losing their livelihoods altogether, we haven't seen much of that free time come to fruition for white collar workers. Quite the opposite, most work longer hours, even working on weekends an...d while on vacation. Productivity demands have increased substantially now that we are connected 24/7 and many employers' demands have infringed on what is supposed to be our personal time. There is a reason so many lament their work-life balance. Sometimes it's not about personal economics, but rather job expectation. We don't see this dynamic changing anytime soon. See more

Too many people set up IoT devices without passwords or with simplistic passwords, or use IoT devices that don't even allow for complex passwords. Always research the device before committing to the purchase, ensuring that the device has the ability to set passwords and that the password can be complex.
