We have had quite a few dogs coming in to the clinic with ticks over the past few weeks so we want to remind everyone - TICKS ARE STILL HERE! The cooler weather of fall is actually preferred by ticks, and they will be seeking a blood meal any time the ground temperature is 4C or greater (so think days above freezing). They love to hide in leaf litter where it stays warmer. If your pet's tick prevention has run out (or you never had any) make sure to call to get at least another month of protection for your pet! #tickseason #parasiteprevention #ticksaregross

This is Shadow, a gorgeous 14 month old Maremma Sheepdog X German Shepherd. He is a big guy, weighing in at over 120lbs, and he's not even fully grown! When he stands tall he's almost half Mary's height too! He definitely needed a few extra hands to carry around today during his neuter! #maremmasheepdog #germanshepherd #giantdog
