Orchard View Long Term Care facility is recruiting a full time Executive Assistant. Orchard View, which opened in 2005, is a state of the art 40 bed nursing home. It is located in the Village of Gagetown, which is centrally located to Fredericton, Oromocto and Saint John. Accountabilities: - Perform all main office duties - Establish & maintain a system for the management and safe keeping of resident trust accounts - Prepare reports for submission to Social Development... - Maintain all payable and receivable accounts - Process payroll and all payroll related duties - Complete all financial reports and submit to Administrator monthly for review and presentation to the finance committee of the Board of Directors - Maintain budget and related documentation - Prepare all year end documents to be submitted to auditors - Preparation and maintenance of all personnel files - Preparation and distribution of employee orientation materials - Maintain and distribute information needs as required by various departments within the organization - Actively participate on various committees and undertake special projects as assigned by the Administrator/Director of Care - Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures - Inventory and ordering of administration office supplies Qualifications: - Able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions at a skill level four as per the national occupational profile - Has skill and accuracy in typing, filing, business machines and general office work - Is able to perform assigned duties without supervision - Has a certification in accounting functions - Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with Quick Books/Intuit accounting software - Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS office and quick books Executive Assistant/Finance Director Page 2 - Must have minimum of 5 years experience in accounting functions and related field - Nursing Home experience would be an asset - Physically and mentally able to perform assigned duties and tasks - Demonstrate ability to work as a team member - Demonstrate good problem solving, conflict resolution, communication and collaboration skills - Must provide a medical report and RCMP Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Section Check This position reports to the Administrator/Director of Care.
