Ordinary Mindfulness 19.06.2021

I've spent a lot of days and nights in this spot recently. Studying, learning, trying to get closer and closer to the best version of myself possible. There have been tears, anger, frustration, joy, pride, and a whole lot of other emotions along the way. I'm here to serve and I know that the path to best be able to do that is to invest as much time as possible into being the best version of myself. Anyone who has done the real work to figure out who they are and where th...ey should go knows that it's not just a magical beam of light that shines down on you suddenly transforms you into this higher being that just knows what to do. It's dirty, it's a lot of work, and a TON of vulnerability and understanding and forgiveness (usually for yourself). These are all areas that I struggled, who am I kidding here, STILL struggle with and continue to work on everyday. Moments in this room bettering myself are moments that I absolutely cherish, even if they aren't always happiness and sunshine. I've had a lot of help along the way, from family to friends to paid services and coaching. If you find yourself struggling through this journey and need some extra help in any area, please reach out to me. I'm still offering 30 minute introductory coaching sessions at no cost to help people through this time in our existence, regardless of where that has put you personally. What have the past 3 months helped you discover about yourself?

Wanted to share my practice and some thoughts with everyone here. Although it scares me to share something that I feel I struggle so much with, I'm hoping to give some encouragement and inspiration to anyone who is struggling with starting something. There are a lot of areas of my life that I struggle to listen to what I know is best for me, and I mean listen to myself, not what other people think is best for me (which very often is actually what's best for them). Yoga i...s one of those areas. I've struggled with flexibility my entire life and over a decade working as a Powerline Technician decreased the flexibility in my hips and legs even more. For over 3 months I've been called to practice yoga every day and have been unable to do so until recently, maybe it's the stubborn Ukrainian in me. The bottom line is that it doesn't matter where you are, it doesn't matter where anyone else is, all that matters is that you start. Start whatever it is that you already know that you should. I want you to watch this timelapse a couple of times, (don't worry I edited out my savasana at the end so you don't have to watch me breathe for 5 seconds!) this is the lowest level of yoga that the app that I use allows and I struggle with over half of it, either being unable to fully bend or twist, and at some points even completely failing and falling out of a pose. And that's okay, because tomorrow I'll be better for it and closer to where I'm going. If you start today, you will be too. What have you been called to do that you want to start today? #yoga #mindfulness #flexibility #lifecoach #lifecoaching #coach #slowdown #shutupandlisten #starttoday #meditation #motivation #fitness #flexible #flexibility
