This is what’s powering our heat throughout the project right now! Nice clean boiler install! The floors are nice and warm.

I haven’t posted in a while, we have been working on the siding which is almost complete, Hvac, plumbing, electrical is almost complete. We had inspections for framing and the other trades all are passed with insulation starting! Also we have the boiler system connected and turned on so we are ready to get out of the cold for a bit. In the second picture you can see where the building comes through the trees and connects to another foundation, this is the green house and we will be framing this in after Christmas break!

The last few weeks have been hectic trying to get the bridge, corridors and greenhouse ready for concrete! This is the big connection between the houses and we will be thankful to see this poured. Saying this was a pile of work would be a understatement!

Under all the concrete floors through out basement, garage, hallways and a greenhouse which is a bit over 5000 square feet this is what is going under the floor. This will total an R30 under the floor and will also be heated by a boiler system. The R value surpasses what most homes built these days have in their walls.

Today was footing and dam pour day! Got the second last section of the footing for the house we are building poured today, with the last section waiting upon foundation walls first to finish it. Building a dam was a first for us but we got it poured flawlessly! It’s a little nerve racking seeing 16000 pounds of concrete getting poured into such a small section luckily for us forms were solid and didn’t budge at all. Not a bad day!

I’ve been struggling to get a picture of this project with it all in one picture but I tried my best with these. We’re moving right along with this, windows and doors are ready to be installed, siding on site, and we started the second portion of the foundation. This project takes us into a bunch of different aspects of building here, as we also have been fixing up a barn and we are forming and pouring a a mini dam for a couple huge ponds that have been eroding the bank. This has been an Interesting project taking us into all aspects of building.
