Here's what you need to know for today's deliveries! Check out some highlights below; Broccoleaf did not arrive on time for today's boxes - so instead we have packed some beautiful cauliflower! Currently selling in retailers for upwards of $10 - you're welcome! Cookstown Greens strikes again with the eye catching and decadent Candy Beets. Ataulfo Mangos (aka Honey Mangoes) are known for their overly sweet flavor and their golden colour when fully ripe. They ship under ripe ...and are softer in general to other mangoes. You know they are ripe when they are very soft, golden yellow and begin to wrinkle. Ginger bagged this past weekend is just enough to add some punch to your smoothies, stir-fries, or tea. Canadian Red Potatoes shipping in 2 pounds for small boxes and 3 pounds for regular and large. Rapini (aka Italian Broccoli) is typically bitter to the taste but this batch is a sweet and rare treat. The entire plant can be eaten from stock, leaves, and the small broccoli like flowers. Not sure how to prepare this? For best results blanch with salt and then sauté with garlic and pepper, add to any existing dish such as pasta or stir fry, and spice to your liking. These Bosc Pears are so tasty and the perfect ripeness. Campari Tomatoes are so sweet and juicy. If you haven’t tried these, you really should! It's important to us as a family that we access organic options; locally we just can't be satisfied. Due to shortages cause by extreme demand and southern weather conditions (both drought and frost) this time of year, combined with a weak Canadian $, even conventional produce prices in the stores are above what we typically p...rovide for our customers. And here come the Organics Live buyers to the rescue - Everything is looking amazingly fresh for you today. We've subbed green peppers in place of broccoleaf and a variety of fresh herbs in place of basil (we couldn't get my hands on basil over the holidays - let alone organic!)
