On January 25 at North York Memorial hall, along with the 2017 Nobel Peace prize winner Setsuko Thurlow, ex-Toronto mayor Mel Lastman, The Hon Jim Peterson,alex haji taghi and few other fellow distinguished Canadians, Zaffron had the privilege of receiving from Mr Ali Ehsassi MPP from willow dale, "Canada 150 commemorative Medal" recognizing Zaffron restaurant for an outstanding contribution in our community . It was a humbling experience to be recognized amongst these great individuals. Thanks everyone to make this happen.
