She has just released a book chronicling her personal journey living with PTSD, three rare diseases, and a colostomy. Meet Ron. A big-city transplant, Ron and his family are now Torrance locals, having retired to the family cottage on Clear Lake four years ago. With grandparents who honeymooned in Township of Muskoka Lakes in 1908, Ron's family history is deeply rooted in Muskoka. Meet Norah. A native Muskokan, Norah has been a resident of Torrance all her life, and still lives in the home in which she was born. Norah's a lifelong fundraiser. From walkathons to help build the Bala arena decades ago, to supporting the Bracebridge Muskoka Lakes Rotary Club and the CNIB Foundation, Norah is deeply committed to serving her community. As Executive Director of the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Norah has been actively promoting Habitat since 2016. She te...lls us that every day she receives calls asking her where to find a place to live in Township of Muskoka Lakes, and says, "We turn great people and talent away because we don’t have enough housing here. Habitat builds can make a real difference".
