Together the cards, ancestors, you and I can figure out anything. I have a few spots left for 2020 and I have opened up January's schedule too. You can book through the website here https://buff.ly/32m0gRq

I’ve been thinking a lot about recovery these days. How will we recover from this pandemic? How can we reconcile the differences in our society? How are my kids... going to move past this nutty time we live in? How do I help folks who are living in tents in my city right now? I drew this card from my Orisha Tarot - the 5 of Disks. Here we see Babaluaye at their lowest point just before Shango finds them and takes them in to help them. It reminds me we need to be willing to look at those suffering around us. Shango could have rode past the beggar but instead they looked and saw a friend in need. From experience I know this ability rests on our ability to look at our own suffering too. Then we can start to recover and find ways to a better life. #theorishatarot #theorishatarotdeck #asojano #shango #orisha #tarot #babaluaye #lostcrowns #suffering #shango #obakoso

Living with the ancestors (egun) for me means taking time to remember them. Time to honour them. Today my mom came over for lunch. So I made sure the egun got ...some of what we ate. I cleaned and refreshed where I feed them. I lit candles for them. We talked about them while we all ate. My kids asked questions and learned new things about those gone almost as long as they’ve been alive. When dinner came today I made sure egun got some too. As I sit here winding down for bed I can feel their contentment. For me this is what ancestor work looks like. Making space. Remembering. Honouring. #egun #ancestors #healingstories #remembering #intergenerational #family #lukumi #olosha
