Maintain your beautiful smile and healthy bite after orthodontic treatment by wearing your retainers and avoiding oral habits that cause relapse such as daytime clenching, lip/nail biting, tongue thrusting (against teeth), forward tongue rest position, etc. At Orthodontics Victoria, we monitor our patients' bite and alignment, making sure that healthy bite is maintained for life.

Unilateral crossbite is an etiological factor for TMJ disc displacement which, in turn, may cause jaw pain and/or headaches (on individual basis). In this instance, it is helpful to treat traumatic occlusion and establish a comfortable bite regardless of TMJ symptoms. Orthodontics does not resolve TMD, but it may help relieve jaw symptoms. This is one of the many ways we treat our patients at Orthodontics Victoria. Your dentist can restore the crowns to complete the look.
