Transit riders have a right to safety while on board #ttc. But if TTC CEO and the TTC Board are going to handcuff the #specialconstables and then fire them for doing the job they were mandated to do, how can TTC passengers expect a safe ride?

We stand with the #ttc #SpecialConstables wrongfully terminated today. The report deliberately excluded/ignored relevant evidence, failed to interview the subject (who pled guilty to threats/assaults on officers), and found the result they were paid to find. This is not #independentoversight.

The Solicitor General, Cobourg Police Chief, Brian Lass, Axon, ONGIA, OACP, ABLE, Boots on the Ground, Beyond the Blue, Canadian Critical Incident Inc, Health AX, Mental Health First Response, TCHC, TTC, Carleton University, the Police Association of Ontario, and the Global Community Safety Network... ...all have in common? ... They are all speaking and taking part in the Ontario Special Constable Associations 3rd Annual (Virtual) Conference Series, taking place in 6 sessions between December 3 and December 16. This conference is FREE to attend, and will be facilitated by Zoom Webinar. It is open to those in the law enforcement, public safety or justice industries. Our first ever AGM will take place in Session 5 on December 14 and is for members only. We will be introducing a new OSCA partner and launching the OSCA member exclusive app! All other sessions are open to anyone in the law enforcement community so PLEASE share with any and all of your networks. Each session is PACKED with content that relevant and valuable to all ranks. Well, the numbers are in! Over a collective 2000km ran and $16 849 raised in support of the Canadian Red Cross Stronger Together fund for the families and victims of the shooting in April 2020. Got our #OSCARun4NS in. My running buddy chose her hat and the playlist, the pace and all of the stops (had to check for geese, cool rocks, bugs). I admit, appreciating my kiddo got me a little misty, thinking about the #NovaScotiaStrong families who lost their loved ones.
