We were thankful to have pilot whales around the Cheticamp area for about a week before they moved back offshore and towards the Cabot Strait - hopefully they w...ill be back again soon and we will be able to continue our research once this stretch of windy weather has passed. Here’s a photo of a curious young pilot whale spyhopping next to the vessel on research trip with Oshan Whale Watch a couple days ago.
We've been quiet for a while on this page - the weather has been windy and the pilot whales are still mostly absent from the Cheticamp area. Oshan Whale Watch ...has finally begun their season this month up in Bay St. Lawrence and they welcomed us along this past Monday. Much to our amazement, we encountered two pilot whales that had not been seen for six years - meet "Stubbs" and "Pacman"! See more
Today's first tour is departing under a rainbow.

Anyone that knows Captain Cyril Fraser, knows how much the Captain appreciates a clean boat and great music. Here is one of our talented cousins, Catherine Little, offering an appropriate Social Distancing Parade. Thank you.
The Celtic Roots are strong at Oshan Whale Watch Brydee (blue shirt) is dancing up a storm like many a Fraser before her.
We're quite happy to have Bay St. Lawerence featured so prominently as a whale watching destination.
