Shipmates and friends of the Club. We have sad news to report. As you may or may not have heard earlier today via our Facebook group, merchant sailor, ONVC founding member and ONVC shipmate Pat Chappell has crossed the bar. The family asked ONVC President Brian Wilkins to thank all members for naming our lower deck after their father, grandfather and husband. Rick (Pat's son) also mentioned his gratitude for the way his father was so respected at the Club. This is a huge l...oss for the Chappells, and our Club. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of life for Shipmate Chappell will be arranged at a later date. Fair winds and following seas Shipmate, we have the watch from here. RIP.

Ahoy Shipmates and friends of the Club. We hope that everyone is staying healthy and getting through this isolation during a difficult time and we wanted to provide an update on the status of the Club since we have been closed for just over a month. We have received another generous donation via Colleen Gill from the Wednesday Darters. Thank you Colleen and the Wednesday Darters. With this most recent donation and the donations we have received over the past few weeks, thes...e contributions will be going a long way, in fact, they actually cover the costs of keeping the Club running for at least 2 months, so thank you so much to all who have contributed. The Club is so very grateful. Our Club Manager Danielle has been working very hard in accommodating clients with changing their hall rental dates. With her hard work, we have had no cancellations so far, so thank you Danielle for all your efforts. While closed, the Club is going through regular inspections to ensure all is well within the Clubroom, Nautical Deck and property and taking advantage to make needed repairs as necessary. Great job everyone! The Club is in a good financial position and well prepared to last through this epidemic and we look forward to seeing you all back when we re open for a nice cold wet within "The Pat Chappell Mess". Pat would have been happy to see the Club get through this challenging time. Bravo Zulu to all who assisted and continue to assist. We will get through this and we cannot wait to see everyone very soon. #NovaScotiaStrong
Good evening Shipmates and friends of the Club. Just wanted to take a moment to advise that we have once again received some wonderful donations as you may have already heard via the Club's Facebook group. Thank you to the Oshawa District Dart League (ODDL) that provided Club President Brian Wilkins with a great donation and thank you to the ONVC Sports Chair Andy Bak with the great donation also provided to Brian. Donations like these help the Club tremendously during these difficult times. Thank you all and be safe everyone.

Good evening Shipmates and friends of the Club. Another feel good message. Just wanted to take a moment to thank Bill, on behalf of all the Thursday Night Darters. They also stepped up and wanted to help, and give the Club a donation to help pay monthly obligations while closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. So thank you Thursday Night Darters for your generous donation. We hope that we see you again soon at the Club when the pandemic is over and resume the dart fun nights. Thank you again for your much needed contribution, it will go a long way.
