Sharing this awesome cause for 94.9 The Rock!! The Rock has helped us so much over the years, we really hope to help get Doug and Lucky over their $2500 goals. We hear its become a bit of a competition though, Doug is feisty lol.. Let's help give youth access to affordable golf https://www.therock.fm/index.php/events/723-100-hole-hike

We've been very busy over the summer at the new building on 44 Bond, the gutting is almost done and the new construction will soon begin, this huge empty space made a great set for the follow up music video shoot for the band and our good friends Judgment. We are super excited to see the finished product and congratulations to the band for the music video they will be releasing soon.

It’s been 2 months since we announced our closure, but where one door closes another one will open There were a million emotions when we had to close the doors on King Street. The unthinkable was happening to us all. We could not help but think back to all the great memories in The Music Hall and what this would mean for our future and the future of arts, music and culture in our city. Your outpouring of support for us has led to an opportunity that nobody would have expecte...d or imagined. For those that remember, our infamous back fence had become a work of art with band autographs, signatures, jokes and quotes from so many of you. It was a billboard to what the hall was, a community, our community. This picture came from that back fence. We don’t know who wrote it or how long it was there, but it was pointed out during our darkest moments a few months back. What we also did not know at the time is that it would be the start of a sequel! Ever heard the second one is better than the first?! Well it's happening... A new chapter, a new vision, a new home! From the team that brought you The Music Hall in partnership with The Sacco Group (the Diachenko brothers) we are proud to announce Oshawa’s brand new music and multi purpose venue located at 44 Bond Street East. The new location boasts a 1000+ person capacity room on the main floor along with a groovy basement bar/club (remember The Dungeon?!) Complemented with a restaurant/lounge for show goers on the second floor with a VIP section/valet parking for special events. We are bringing the big city vibe to Oshawa. The building (44 Bond St E) was once home to the Canadian Auto Workers Union making it a perfect fit to continue a legacy of family, arts and culture in our vibrant city. It is now perfectly positioned to offer live music, dining and entertainment on a new level. The Sacco Group has been an integral part of the downtown core for decades and together we will continue to bring the artists and events you know and love. We are so proud to collaborate with an amazing team in bringing music and entertainment back to our city...Our community needs it...We all deserve it... and now, we can make it happen! Thank you for your encouragement and your powerful voices! Let's keep our dream alive because sometimes an ending is just the start of a sequel. We have a building, we have history, we have a dream and we know we have the support of our music community. Together we will walk through those doors very soon! Stay tuned folks.... See more

Its been 2 days since we announced our closure. We can hardly put into words the immense love we have received over the last 48 hours. We underestimated the magnitude of the hall to everyone. We just went to work every day. We're just regular people. But guys, you have made us feel larger than life. Our post reached over 120,000 people...We sat and read each and every one of the more than 500 comments. There were not enough tissues. You have made our hearts so full in a time where we have felt so empty. Thank you from the bottom of our souls. Much love

Hey everyone, The time has come. It is with the saddest heart that Ed and I must announce The Music Hall has been forced to close its doors. We are unable to keep up with financial obligations with zero revenue and not qualifying for any of the programs. Our landlords have made the decision to lock us out. In a time of a world pandemic, where we had no choice but to comply with government mandates, we had hoped they would work better with us considering the circumstances. Sa...dly, we have been beat, all our hard work has been lost on us. We have sacrificed to save lives, but there was nothing to help us save our livelihood. What I am about to share is real and raw from our hearts. We don’t usually depict such vulnerably, but hey, what are we trying to keep a brave face for now. This is it. We started this journey in December 2015. The first 2 years were incredibly hard. We fought a horrible reputation from a previous tenant which made it difficult to sell shows. We fought a decrepit building, where the repairs needed were from long before our residency. A leaky roof where we prayed it wouldn’t rain on a show day as there were 12 or so buckets we would put out to catch the water. We have had our challenges. We have had painfully slow weeks. We have felt like throwing in the towel 100 times. Our relationship has been tested. Our nerves have been shot. But we have always overcome whatever was thrown at us, the show always went on. Ed and I want to personally offer our most sincere apology to our patrons, the entire music community, the agents, promoters, and artists. And to our team at The Music Hall who worked tirelessly to make it all work. We have had some very dark days the past few weeks. We know this announcement will hit hard for many of you, as if we need any more bad news these days. Just know we could not have made it 4 years without all of you. The immense gratitude, thank yous, high fives, messages, cards and letters we got from people over the years made all the stress worth it. Believe me when I say we surprised ourselves sometimes with what we had accomplished. Who gets to throw concerts and have 600 people in their living room?! And that’s what it was for us, our second home. All we can say is when the time comes and live music opens up, we urge everyone to buy a ticket to a show, buy the band’s merch, get out and support the bars, the venues, the bands, the artists. They will need you more than ever after all of this. Much love to you all, until we meet again, Ed and Maggie.

The state of live music for the unforeseeable future, folks. Its a long read, but really explains the reality of our industry right now.

It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform everyone that we must refund The Up Shit Creek Bushfire Fundraiser. We are at a point where we are uncertain when this event can take place, its seems large gatherings will not be permitted for quite some time. We know many people are in financial hardship and it is our position to return funds at this point and not hold them not knowing when this event will happen. It has also been suggested that we give people the option to ...still donate their ticket to the cause. But we feel it would put undue pressure on people and that is not what anyone needs right now. We truly apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment. If you purchased your ticket from Long & McQuade in Oshawa, you may obtain a refund from them by CALLING FIRST to arrange a curbside pickup time as they are on limited times of operation and staff. Please bring your tickets for your refund. Long & McQuade 9054341612. If you purchased from Eventbrite, your refund will reflect in 5-10 business days.
