The April 4th Oshawa Music Awards Live Stream presented by Spark Centre will be hosted by Canadian New Wave Icon, bass player Sandy Horne from the legendary ban...d Spoons. This year marks the 40th year anniversary of these 80s' hit makers. This celebration includes their new full length release titled New Day New World. It is with great disappointment to announce that the 20th year of Oshawa Music Week has been cancelled. This choice is based on the rapid developing global situation of COVID-19, and with many discussions with our supporting partner, Durham College, along with the professors of Music Business Management and the dean of the School of Media, Art & Design we are confident this is the right decision for everyone's safety. We will be refunding all ticket sales within the next 48 h...ours. In the event you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected] All of the profits from Oshawa Music Week were to be donated to this year's chosen charity, Unison Benevolent Fund.Despite this cancellation, we would still like to help fundraise for this vital industry organization. We are asking for anyone who is able to, please donated through the link below, as 100% of the funds will be donated. The Canadian music industry is relying on Unison's emergency relief, financial, counselling and health assistance now more than ever. With nationwide cancellations of festivals, tours, and concerts of all sizes, members of the music industry are left without work and are seeking Unison's assistance. We would like to give thanks, and our uttermost respect to all persons involved in the 20th Annual Oshawa Music Week vision.
