What a dedicated membership we have at the Osoyoos Lawn Bowling Club. Due to the guidance of our exceptional greenskeeper Zeke, they are in the best shape they have ever been in. A fall cleanup ensures we return to play next Spring on a fabulous greens. The OLBC successfully implemented protocols for the pandemic and made the best of this peculiar year with modified play. In 2021 we hope to be able to have a membership drive, as 2020 has been played with current membership. Stay tuned for information to follow in the Spring.

What great members we have. With the delay of the season, and over the winter months, our greens committee has been diligent with maintenance. Plus by submitting a work plan and adhering to Covid19 restrictions we are nearing completion of replacing the plinths and squaring the greens. Bowlers will be pleased to learn this season (whenever that may be) we'll bowl on a square, not parallelogram greens.

That's all folks! Another season came to an end at our AGM on Friday, October 25, when we gathered at Campo Marina Restaurant for a short meeting, a delicious meal and good company. Trophies were presented to our club tournament winners; Michael summarized all that was achieved during 2019 (a great success); and new board members were elected. Dalton Hagell will be guiding the club through the 2020 season as president, assisted by a mix of eight returning and new directors. Happy bowling to all in 2020! (photos in At the Green)

We arrived with great expectations but the weather kept us off the green on the last day of bowling for 2019. But we made the best of it and gathered in the club room for hot drinks and a chat session followed by a scrumptious lunch. We ended the year with good fellowship and lots of laughs. See you on the green in 2020!
