Well, it's a wrap for the #ChangeForAnimals2021 #OSPCAConference! It was informative, challenged us and gave us a wonderful opportunity to connect virtually at a time when we're feeling so disconnected. Plus, there were moments of good fun...including the furry friends quiz, which was hilarious! Until next year.

Are the winter blues starting to creep in? Are you looking for a way to beat the cold and diffuse the anxiety of the pandemic? Here at the Ontario SPCA we know that animals are an awesome way to keep us active (and to keep our serotonin levels high), but not everyone has pets at home to help get them moving. The Rural Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Allied Health Team and the Napanee Area Community Health Centre has the perfect solution for anyone interested in learning how ...to get more active during these troubling times. In celebration of National Kinesiology Week (November 23-27) there will be an online celebration of the role of exercise in our mental and physical health. Each day from 11am-12pm there will be a different style of workout, discussion on exercise, mental and physical health, as well as an introduction to local and online resources to help you stay active during the winter months. To learn more, you can visit the event page at: https://www.facebook.com/events/698454144128768?active_tab=about This online event is offered free of charge to anyone who wishes to register, and donations to the L&A OntarioSPCA will be welcomed in support of this wonderful event. HAPPY HOME UPDATE: Simon (now Domino) has been settling into his new home for the last couple of months and his forever family wanted us to know that "he’s doing really well and has a nice big house to explore. Loves playing and cuddling and although I wouldn’t say they are BFFs, he and his new brother Trigger [the dog] are getting more friendly together and working on trying to play together. He seems super happy and is enjoying his new home!"

HAPPY HOME ALERT: Sylvie and Cricket came into the shelter with their littermates this summer when they were just teeny tiny little jellybeans. One of our wonderful foster volunteers helped raise them to be big and strong so we could find them forever homes. Luckily for Sylvie and Cricket, their forever family wanted two kittens, so they got to go home together! We are so happy to report that they have both settled right into their new life and are doing wonderfully! #adoptionsuccess #happyhomeupdate
