Good morning, here is an update to our screening protocol starting next week on Monday. October 5th, 2020.

And Update for Covid-19 Testing in Grey Bruce

For the Osprey school age families who have children who are attending our school program next week. Ensure you have reviewed the following requirements for screening your child prior to them coming to our before and/or after school programs next week. This screen must be done every morning even if your child is not attending until the afternoon. Please message the Remind app and let us know your child has passed the screen prior to drop off. Attached are the screening steps and the screening tool.

Reminder that our before and after school program has a delayed reopen. Our program will begin Monday September 14th, 2020.

Bubbles are a great outdoor activity for children of all ages. Try using a variety of different tools to make bubbles. Incorporate nature. Bendable branches like grape vine work wonderful. Try larger items such as butterfly nets. Follow the childs natural instinct to discover.

Guys! Blow the dust off the pasta machine you got for your wedding and let the kids run paper through it!!! Boom! Play Frontier!

Missing our daycare families today and all of our days apart. Together we will get through this. We know its not easy, but we are all in this together and always here to support. We chose to share pictures of fur babies with us today to give our little friends a smile Quite often when we go on our lunch breaks or home for the day ,we talk to the children about needing to go home to see our pups. We would love to see pictures of our little friends, so feel free to share below lets be the light for one another

Good morning. We are experiencing furnace issues again. We will need to delay opening. Please check remind for updates.

Families, we have just recieved information that The ETFO union is holding strike days Mon Feb 3 and Thurs Feb 6. We will be hosting full day school age programs both of those days. Please let us know ASAP if you require care. Limited spaces available so please book as soon as possible.

FYI -PARENTS, see notice from the BWDSB, if no agreement is made our Kids Club programs will also be CLOSED on Wed Jan 15th. Today, we learned that Bluewater District School Board will be included in the next round of provincial strike action planned for Wednesday, January 15, 2020. In Bluewater District School Board, OSSTF members include secondary teachers and education workers (educational assistants, early childhood educators, office professionals and technicians, and pro...fessional student services personnel). On this date, OSSTF members will be participating in a one-day full withdrawal of services, which will significantly impact the operation of both our secondary and elementary schools. As there are many critically important functions performed by these various employee groups, a full withdrawal of services will impede our ability to ensure the safety and well-being of our students at all grade levels. For this reason, we have determined that, unless a provincial collective agreement is reached by that time, ALL ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS in Bluewater District School Board will be closed to students on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.

Our new floors look amazing ! Our classrooms are being slowly put back together today! Our space feels instantly warmer thank you Jofre Renovations!

Because an agreement was not reached with OSSTF and the Province, today will be a strike day for the Elementary schools. We will be unable to run a school age program. We will run our toddler and preschool program as normal.

Families with school age children. If there is no agreement reached with the OSSTF by Wed the school will be closed. We will not be able to run a before and afterschool program nor will we be able to run a full day school age program as we will not be able to use the school. We will be running our toddler and preschool program as normal. We will keep you updated as we learn more information.

Reminder that over the December holidays we will be closed the following dates :) Schoolage children are off school Dec 23 til their return January 6th. We will need to know your daycare needs for those 2 weeks by noon Dec 18 2019 :)
