The medicinal use of quail eggs can be traced back to ancient China and Egypt. The Chinese as well as the Egyptians used quail eggs to treat inflammatory diseases and sexual impotence. And for a long time the therapeutic properties of quail eggs were forgotten. It was in France, in 1960’s that Dr. JC Truffier, effectively used quail eggs in the treatment of sexual impotence and allergies. Since then a lot of studies has been conducted on the therapeutic uses of quail eggs. And it has been proved that quail eggs can be used in the prevention, cure and treatment of diseases associated with age, deficiency or excess of nutrients, allergies etc.

Shiso (is one of the most commonly used herbs in Japanese cooking, and the best one to grow if you have any interest in Japanese food. It’s an annual plant. The botanical name is Perilla frutescens var. crispa. To ensure that most of your shiso seeds germinate, soak them in water for 24 hours before seeding.
