Question: I have had an ileostomy for one year. I recently read about certain drugs and vitamins that are best taken in liquid form. How can I find out more? For example - which vitamins that I am currently taking actually dissolve properly in just my small intestine, and also drugs in pill form, such as Cortef - hydrocortisone - which I am currently taking for adrenal insufficiency.... https://www.ostomycanada.ca/liquid-medications/

Part of the money raised during the Annual Stoma Stroll Awareness Walk is used to provide Education Awards. There are two education award programs: Are you a post-secondary student? Ostomy Canada Society is offering $1000 awards (formerly called bursaries) for post-secondary students to pursue their education. (Select the first tab for more information). Are you a registered nurse? Ostomy Canada Society is offering $1500 for registered nurses to become NSWOC Nurses. (Select the second tab for more information).
