For the last two days I attended CFO and leadership training offered by CPA Canada. The slide presented below was striking to me for two reasons: - The results are from 2008 and despite all the recent finance modernization activities and millions of dollars spent there has not been a significant change. - The biggest disconnects are also the areas of real competitive advantage in strategy, sustainability and risk management. I asked why the dial was so hard to move - the ans...wer we came up with was simple and real - because it is hard to do. This is also what I love to do with teams and clients in my practice - successes and failures on this path of evolving to become better, kinder, sustainable and more profitable businesses.
