RIVER DISTRICT! The Orange Lights are on and we’re kicking things back into gear! As a locally owned business, our primary focus has been on ensuring we can provide a safe space for River District and area to invest in its health & fitness. As of November 19, 2020, the Government of British Columbia is requiring that all fitness & recreation facilities eliminate group fitness classes until further notice. While group fitness classes are not permitted, under the new guideline...s we are permitted to operate under an "Open Gym" concept. To comply with these restrictions and regulations and provide our members with a safe space to workout, we'll be implementing some changes when we reopen our River District Studio on Wednesday, November 25th. (Members: Check your inboxes for our latest updates!) While we are unable to deliver our typical Orangetheory classes, we are happy to be able to open our doors to our members to use our facility. In addition to providing our members with a temporary Open Studio space, we are also excited to announce that we will be introducing our new digital platform, Orangetheory Live to our members in December! Orangetheory Live is the newest innovation from Orangetheory Fitness, giving you the ability to access our science-backed, technology-tracked, coach-inspired workouts with your favourite local coaches from the comfort of your own home. Stay tuned for more information on our exciting new platform! To our River District Orange Family, these have been trying times for all of us. While we are eager to return to normal, we have been advised by the provincial government that these temporary changes are required to help manage the spread of COVID-19. Orangetheory River District Members, With the continued pandemic concerns in our Province, the BC Government, Dr. Bonnie Henry and the Provincial Health Authorities have created some additional restrictions on Fitness, Recreation, and Sport effective immediately. As we navigate the Covid safety rules and regulations with regards to the new Fitness restrictions, we are working behind the scenes to provide some Orangetheory Fitness options and alternatives to keep our members ...fit and, most of all, safe. Our River District team will be reviewing the items this evening and tomorrow to provide a comprehensive update on how things may be different in the weeks ahead. Wellhow quickly things have changed in the past few days. We have absolutely loved seeing so many of you in our new River District Orangetheory studio over the past 28 days since our Oct 10th Grand Opening! It’s been amazing getting to know our members and new friends in our River District community. It was also very invigorating watching so many of our members work towards their fitness goals and adhere to the health and safety protocols we put in place. You were patient w...ith both us and each other through this difficult timeso THANK YOU for all your support and understanding! Unfortunately, even with all of our safety protocols and efforts, we must temporarily close our studio as directed by the Provincial Health office. We are clearly distraught with this news, but understand that the more we are part of the solution, the faster we will be able to return. Therefore, our location will be temporarily closed effective 10pm this evening until at least Monday, November 23rd. All our River District memberships will be put on freeze until we reopen. Our members won’t lose any sessions or remaining days in their membership cycle, and won’t be billed. While we are closed, we hope you’ll keep active with our Orangetheory At Home workouts accessed through the new Orangetheory app. Remember, there’s a new workout every day and special challenges along the way. Please keep your eye on your email and social media channels during this temporary closure period.
