Did you know A bone anchored hearing system consists of a small implant that is surgically placed in the skull bone just behind the ear and a sound processor that attaches to an abutment, or connector, on the implant. The sound processor captures sound almost like a conventional hearing aid. However, instead of sound transmission through the ear canal, it transforms the sound into vibrations that are transmitted via the implant through the bone and directly into the coch...lea in the inner ear.
