On the Level Concrete Correction

Check out this very cool time lapse of a couple of driveway lifts we completed using polyurethane foam. Luke, our technician extraordinaire, drills a few 5/8"... holes sinto this sunken concrete slab and inserts an disposable port into which he'll inject liquid polyurethane foam. This material fills all the nooks, crannies and voids underneath and expands to first compress the soil and create a nice stable base. As more poly is added and expands, tthe slab raises back into position where it remains securely supported on a permanent, water impermeable polyurethane slab. (To prevent overspray, Luke uses a foam sheet to keep the garage door clean, although poly can be easily cleaned off). See more

BETTER THAN NEW. This concrete is still in excellent condition but these concrete steps sunk on one side, creating an unsightly and hazardous slope. We easily corrected the sloping grade by injecting polyurethane under the slab to lift and level it. The sidewalk is now level and properly supported on a permanent, water impermeable layer of polyurethaneat a fraction of what it would have cost to tear out the concrete and pour new. Another advantage to poly is that as it expands it packs down the material under the slab, reducing the potential for further settlingwhich often happens with new concrete.

Check out this negative grade sidewalk correction we did recently. This sidewalk was sloped towards the home’s foundation, allowing water to flow towards the house. We injected polyurethane foam under the slab to lift and level the concrete. The slab is now level and properly supported on a tightly packed subgrade and a water impermeable layer of polyurethane that will not shrink or wash awayand will provide an extra layer of protection against water intrusion into the basement.

Avoid needless concrete repair. This driveway had sunk below the interior garage pad, creating a speed bump for vehicle tires to strike before entering the garage. Over time, the edge of the garage slab had become so broken, it needed to be cut out and replaced. This repair could be avoided by lifting the driveway concrete to align with the interior garage pad and prevent damage to the edge of the slab. Call On the Level Concrete Correction at 780-466-6055.
