The Capital Region Interfaith Council (CRIC at interfaithottawa.ca) is asking people of all religious traditions, in the City of Ottawa and environs, to spend a...n hour in meditation and prayer on the evening of May 10th at 8:00pm. This will be an intentional time to pray about the Pandemic. Feel free to pray in the manner that is best for you, whether that be meditation, set prayers from one of our liturgical books, scripture reading, psalms or whatever is best. Know as you do this that you will be joining peoples of all faith traditions in a common act of devotion. We pray for essential services, for Health Care workers, for all First Responders, for the sick, for those struggling with the isolation of physical distancing, and for the greater care of God's creation. If it makes sense to you perhaps light a candle and place it in the window as a sign of your prayer. Let us join our voices in solidarity with people of faith all over the region.
