This morning we participated in a school-wide Rosh Chodesh assembly to mark the new month of Shevat, led by our Knesset. We learned about Tu B'Shevat, Knesset announced the opening of their virtual suggestion box, and more! Our January Dress Down Day will be for the Ottawa Humane Society as chosen by our Grade 5 class. #TheOJCSDifference

Kindergarten has been learning about polar bears. After lots of research and exploration, students were challenged to build their own polar bear den with whatever materials they could find at their houses. Beary-cool! #TheOJCSDifference

Though virtual, our Remembrance Day assembly brought our entire school together to reflect and pay tribute to our veterans and current military members. Through presentations from a number of our classes, as well as hearing from servicemen and women, we were able to recognize how fortunate we are to benefit from the untold sacrifices of so many. #LestWeForget #TheOJCSDifference

Are you looking for a warm and inviting experience for your young learner? This program will include elements of secular education (days of the week, numbers, etc.), Jewish education (weekly Torah portion, holidays, etc.), music videos, science experiments, and even art projects for young learners just starting their Jewish school journeys. Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-10:30am for virtual learning sessions. The sessions start December 1st and run 2 days a we...ek through May.
