The regularly scheduled meeting of the OLL on January 12, 2021 is being rescheduled to Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Several problems have arisen in attempting to book the speaker for our regular OLL meeting on Tuesday, January 12. Hopefully, arrangements for the speaker will be completed in time for a delayed meeting on January 19. A confirming email will be forwarded as soon as the presentation has been finalized.

October was OLL’s first meeting on Zoom. We were pleased by the encouraging response of our members. Our speakers, Susan Hagar (Nurse on Board) and Susan Josselyn (Dying with Dignity), spoke about palliative care and medical assistance in dying. Although the topics are very serious, members felt empowered by being so well-informed by the presenters about the issues, resources and options available. We had hoped to have recordings to share, but unfortunately this did not work out. If you would like more information about this, please contact Ann Coolen at [email protected]. Our next meeting on Zoom will be November 10th at 10:00 a.m. Roslyn Franken, author, whose topic will be the subject of her book, Meant to Be: A True Story of Might, Miracles and Triumph of the Human Spirit.
