Ottawa New Music Creators

TONIGHT: Tune in to Phase Ensemble's second livestream concert "Visions" at 8pm! (Tickets required, via Eventbrite) Phase Ensemble is a local contemporary music ensemble made up of graduate students from the University of Ottawa's School of Music. An ensemble with the spirit of a collective, they present casual, inviting online performances which often feature new works written by local composers. This concert features new music by H. P. Our next concert is on October 18th. The three new pieces in this concert will be brought to life by the SHHH! Ensemble, a piano/percussion duo dedicated to the creation and dissemination of new and rarefied sounds. In anticipation of our next concert on October 18th, we'd like to introduce the participating composers and performers! Composer #3 : Kevin Reeves is a choral conductor, an accomplished composer, and a champion for adventurous new works. He is the founding conductor of Seventeen Voyces, a chamber choir dedicated to achieving the highest level of choral excellence and the performance of musical gems ‘off the beaten track. In addition, he was the conductor of the Ottawa Regiona...l Youth Choir from 2007-2011, Chorusmaster of the Ottawa Choral Society from 2012-2015, and he has prepared choirs as guest conductor for the NAC, the Cantata Singers of Ottawa, and Opera Lyra.
