BREAKING: OPEN HOUSE UPDATE The Province of Ontario has reduced capacity limits for real estate open houses from 50 to 10 people indoors in Peel, Toronto, and O...ttawa, where physical distancing can be maintained. While we are pleased the Province has put additional restrictions on open houses, OREA’s message to Members is clear: REALTORS should not do open houses. Instead of open houses, Ontario REALTORS should continue to use virtual tools first and to the greatest extent possible and advise clients to use virtual showings or in-person safe showings to view properties until the pandemic is better under control. We are encouraging the Government to move towards a ban on open houses and we’re hopeful they will go one step further in the coming days.
