World AIDS Day takes place on the 1st of December each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day. December 1st also launches the start of Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week in Canada and is a time for reflection: on what we have achieved with regard to the national and global response to HIV, and what we still must achieve. For more on this in our community, please visit the AIDS Committee of Ottawa | Le comité du sida d'Ottawa.

Thank you to our Wolves and their fellow Canadian Armed Forces members who serve or have served and continue to sacrifice for their country. Pause to honour, reflect on and remember our soldiers at 11:00am on November 11th.

The people who make up the Ottawa Wolves RFC stand with the trans women in denouncing the myopic ban set in place by #worldrugby. We wholeheartedly believe trans women are women and everyone has a place in rugby. #IGR #rugbyforall #EndTheBan

I mean sure, 2020 is preventing us from being that tight for now but, it isn’t preventing us from celebrating our Pride, right? HAPPY PRIDE, OTTAWA! We miss you.
