#CanadaRemembers-We remember Corporal Nathan Cirillo who lost his life while on honour guard duty at the National War Memorial in Ottawa on 22 October 2014. htt...p://ow.ly/wsef50BZLPK A shocking attack in Ottawa in the fall of 2014 resulted in the death of Corporal Nathan Cirillo, a Canadian Armed Forces member who was standing as a sentry at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Hamilton, Ontario soldier was a reservist with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's) who lost his life that day at the age of 24. He left behind a grieving family, including a five-year-old son. Today, a plaque near the National War Memorial honours the service and sacrifice of Corporal Cirillo. Submitted photo. See more
