UPDATE: The sod we installed recently is doing great! When removing and installing sod, you always want to remove the 1-2 of roots underneath the old sod, this is very important! And also add about 3 of new 50/50 sand soil mixture and then fertilize. You also want to use a water roller to roll the soil and roll the new sod once it is installed.
