One example is the Villatoro family, who have always welcomed us warmly to their farm in the small community of Hoja Blanca in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. It's from their plantation that we source our fan-favourite Guatem...ala Milagro beans. Visiting the family-run operation made clear the vital part mothers play in both coffee production and community building. Our hats go off to the mothers that make this life and every cup possible, throughout the coffee chain and beyond, Happy Mother's Day from the Oughtred family!

Let's set one thing straight the term "clean" in this context does not refer to sanitary conditions, just as "dirty" does not imean the coffee is unsanitary. What it means is the flavours in the cup do not present any hard notes of fermentation, unwanted earthiness, or other off-colour characteristics that may indicate defects.
