Dear OLMC Parents and Guardians, Earlier today, you should have received an email from the OCSB indicating that should you wish to switch between programs (Virtual to In-person) you need to complete a form for every child. This must be completed by Oct. 22 even if you have notified the school of your intentions. After Oct. 22, your child will no longer be able to switch programs for the remainder of the year. Following is the email you have already received.... You need to fi...ll it out if you are choosing the Virtual Academy. If you are wanting to return to school in person, you need to contact the school directly also by Oct. 22. Dear OCSB Families, This is an important message for families who would like to switch from in-person learning to virtual learning, including those families who are currently on the virtual learning waitlist. The move would take place on November 9 for students in grades K-8, and on February 1 for students in grades 9-12. If you would like to request your child switch from in-person to virtual learning, you MUST fill out the form at the link below by midnight on Thursday, October 22. That said, remote learning and the Hapara workspace will always be available if COVID-19 impacts your child's classroom or school. We recognize that some families have been on a waitlist. However, there is a possibility we will not be able to accommodate all requests due to staffing and the need to meet provincially regulated class size averages. Dear OLMC Families, A few notes about entre/dismissal... We are seeking your support to help reduce the risk of transmitting the COVID-19 virus with the following strategies/policies: Entry: Students should arrive no earlier than 9:10 and cannot congregate on the yard.... Dismissal: If you pick up your child at the end of the day, we ask that you arrive at 3:15 to allow for staggered dismissal and reduce congestion on the yard. Students who walk home will be dismissed early between 3:15-30.
