Our Best Foot Forward 15.02.2022

Sometimes their plans are much bigger than them... His goal was to make his blue monster truck green. Instead his fingers became green and sticky . No sweat. Lemon takes care of it in a hurry, sans chemicals (no paint remover needed thank goodness, because I don't think we even have any!)... So, no more green hands, walls and door knobs and creativity and adventure still intact Share below with the big ideas your littles have had lately!

Farm Friday Today I wanted to spotlight one of the incredible farms owned by Young Living. Purchased in 2014 in Nelson BC. The pristine land had been relatively untouched, keeping it free of synthetic chemicals and fertilizers. The area was secured by D. Gary Young when black spruce was needed for the popular Valor blend. Young refused to modify the blend, even when it cost the company sales volume.... Most excited about the farms owned by Yiung Living is, part of their belief in transparency, they allow tours to witness and be a part of the seed to seal process. And let's be honest, how can trees grown and harvested under such magnificent Northern Lights not produce a high vibing oils

Mindset Monday .I CAN. The words we use impact our physical response. Sometimes, the choice in language we use, is really just a way of creating an excuse. "I want" or "I wish" do not set up up for success. Instead, it let's us off the hook to pursue our dream.... It is time to step out of circumstance, or excuses and say "I will get what I want to get". Hard work, my friends, is the ultimate equalizer. If you are willing to do what it takes, you will get it! happy Monday - realize you are capable of your dreams.

Welness Wednesday Have you ever taken an antibiotic? If you’ve ever used antibiotics, did you use a probiotic to help re-inoculate your GI tract? A study published in The American Society for Microbiology found a one-week course of antibiotics could negatively affect your microbiome for an entire year! WOW! .... Why does this matter? Well, Antibiotics stand for anti-life because they damage our microbiome, antibiotics wipe out the bad stuff that is causing the infection, but they take out everything in their path, including the good bacteria. That becomes a real problem because while your gut has trillions of bacteria, they collectively contain at least 100 times as many genes as you do. That bacterial DNA in your gut outnumbers your own DNA, 10 to 1. That’s important to understand because this bacterial DNA controls a ton of important functions including, immunity, regulating digestion and intestinal function, protects against infections and even produces vitamins and nutrients. Antibiotics destroy these beneficial bacteria, which creates an environment that allows for the overgrowth of bad bugs, yeast and candida, leading to numerous problems including mood disorders, food allergies, fatigue, weight gain, food cravings, skin issues and of course, digestive issues. In my nutrition practice, this was the most common place to focus on rebalancing and healing, considering how our GI tract is known as our second brain. . Did you know that a round of antibiotics increases the likelihood of depression by 20% and a second round by 50%! Thats because 95% of the serotonin in our bodies is produced in the GI tract. A deficiency in serotonin causes depression and in some anxiety, in fact, the majority of antidepressants work by blocking the brain’s serotonin receptors, freeing up more of the chemical to remain present in the brain. Aside from probiotics, do you know any other ways to improve gut health?

Diffusing is the most common way to start using essential oils. It is a simple way to start incorporating essential oils into your daily routine, allowing you and those in your home to experience their therapeutic benefits. Most Young Living diffusers are cold mist, ultrasonic diffusers, which means they use water that is forced into a mist, carrying the essential oil molecules into the air. Pretty cool huh?...
