Continuing with our Q&A with Dr. B Q: How does it feel that you won’t be delivering babies anymore? A: I was restless in April-May when I couldn’t deliver babies.... I felt uncomfortable. It will definitely take me time to adjust. There’s a big attachment. You start something and you finish it. But that’s the old way of practicing Medicine. But it’s not realistic to do A to Z anymore. We need work-life balance. See more

As promised, we are continuing with our Q&A with Dr. B.... : There are rumours that you’re retiring/semi-retiring in Dec 2020. Is that true? What are your plans? A: I will stop doing obstetrics as of January 2021, so no hospital work. ... I feel I should let young people take over. I will continue to work in the clinic, following patients from pre-conception to delivery time. And other doctors will deliver the babies. See more

We recently had a lovely Zoom call with Dr. B. We look forward to sharing our Q&A with you over the upcoming weeks... : ’ - ? A: The past 6 months, we have all learned to adapt. Initially it was difficult for the office. In April and May, I couldn’t do my own deliveries. I had to share the calls with other attending staff. It was difficult to not be able to deliver my own patients.... After May, I was able to follow my own patients and deliver my babies, so it got better. See more
