We all know an amazing woman who has stepped up in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Let her know she has made a difference and nominate her for YWCA Hamilton’s 2021 Women of Distinction Awards a special edition of this longtime event that honours the women who have rolled up their sleeves in response to the pandemic. Maybe she is a mail carrier or courier, or perhaps a volunteer from your neighbourhood or religious community. She might be a family doctor, nurse practition...er, public health worker, long-term care worker, first responder or pharmacist. She could be a grocery store cashier, manager or clerk. Maybe she is your child’s teacher or care provider, or even student, intern, a young leader in your community or perhaps a custodian. She could even be a business owner who has pivoted to respond to the pandemic. Over 900 appointments need be filled at the Burlington Donor Centre (1250 Brant St) over the holidays. Everyone who is able to is encouraged to donate. We are beyond excited to be working with Hamilton Foundation for Student Success on their Showcase of heARTS event on Feb 4, 2021.
