A huge thank you to everyone who donated to & supported the OKC participants’ Drive-Thru Christmas Party! Our thanks also go out to the Hutton Family for supporting OKC this holiday season! It’s through the generosity of our community we were able to provide Christmas dinner and a board game or craft to our families at our Covid-19 friendly event. We will also be able to provide an additional food opportunity this winter and will be handing out food hampers on Monday December 28th from 12 pm 4 pm at our McKenzie St. & Windsor Sites. Anyone needing food over the holidays is welcome to attend. Thank you!

Thank you to support from Community Foundations of Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada, Thunder Bay Community Foundation and the United Way of Thunder Bay for helping OKC go virtual. The equipment we were able to purchase with this funding has allowed us to provide virtual programs to those in our community. Being able to reach families virtually through the pandemic allows us to help ease social isolation that Covid-19 has caused many individuals. #ECSFund

Today is National Child's Day which is celebrated to commemorate the United Nation's adoption of two documents centered on children's rights.
Thank you to the The Rotary Club of Port Arthur for their donation to create healthy breakfast kits during the Covid-19 pandemic. This donation allowed us to distribute kits to 50 families, feeding approximately 150 people in our community!

As part of the OKC team, the Casual Child Development staff will: Build positive relationships with children and families in a safe learning environment Work with a variety of children babies, toddlers, preschool age planning activities and learning opportunities with them Watch children develop health relationships with others... Enjoy the power of children’s play and the special learning environment they are living in Work in partnership with other childcare staff and build positive relationship with families Be under the supervision of the program manager but will be expected to work independently with clear guidelines defining their role. OKC involves families in all aspects of program planning, implementation and evaluation.
